Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, critical care to adults with complex conditions such as trauma, cardiac issues, sepsis, and respiratory distress
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, documenting rhythms accurately in EPIC
• Administer and titrate cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips with precision
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and assist with respiratory equipment as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Float to PCU or MedSurg when needed, always maintaining safe patient ratios

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state
• 2+ years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam during orientation (90% required)
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet the 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in drip titration for cardiac, insulin, and sedation
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills
• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Comfortable with EPIC electronic health records
• Knowledge of trauma, stroke, and critical care protocols
• Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced situations
