Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a 38-bed Level II Trauma ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and manage advanced life support equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
• Support and educate patients and their families during challenging times
• Document patient progress accurately in the EMR system

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• CVICU/CTICU experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Knowledge of vasoactive drug titrations and cardiac monitoring
• Comfort with CRRT, ECMO, Impella, and IABP (preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to handle a variety of patient cases, including post-operative open-heart and neurosurgery
