Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and infants during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs, intervening promptly when needed
• Assist with C-sections, inductions, and high-risk LDR procedures
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses, CNCs, and OB hospitalists to ensure safe outcomes
• Educate and support families through the birthing process
• Document care accurately in Meditech and maintain a calm, reassuring presence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, compact or ability to obtain Kansas licensure
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital L&D experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• EFM-C or AWHONN certification required
• Experience with circulating C-sections and high-risk LDR preferred
• Compassionate, solutions-oriented, and ready to jump in

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fetal monitoring and EFM interpretation skills
• Expertise in labor and delivery nursing including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Proficient with patient care equipment such as Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, and CPN monitors
• Comfortable with Meditech EMR and documentation
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
