Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to postpartum mothers and their newborns
• Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs and assess for signs of complications
• Support breastfeeding and provide education on newborn care and postpartum recovery
• Administer medications, manage postpartum hemorrhage and hypertension, and assist with circumcisions
• Document care accurately in Meditech/CPN and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Uphold HCA ICARE standards of behavior and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (or ability to obtain Kansas licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care postpartum hospital experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• 2+ years of RN experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-risk postpartum unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Acute care and postpartum nursing skills
• High-risk postpartum and Level 2 Nursery experience preferred
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• POC glucose monitoring and maternal/fetal monitoring
• Breastfeeding support and patient education
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
