Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with behavioral health conditions
• Conduct admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments for patients in an inpatient behavioral health unit
• Administer medications, monitor patient safety, and implement crisis prevention strategies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, mental health technicians, and providers to create effective care plans
• Float to other inpatient adult behavioral health units as needed, supporting the team and adapting to patient acuity

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS certification required
• CPI certification (or Calm Every Storm certification accepted)
• At least 1 year of current Behavioral Health experience
• Inpatient behavioral health experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of behavioral health assessments and interventions
• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations with empathy and professionalism
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Team player with flexibility to handle changing patient acuity
• Excellent communication and compassion for patients with varied mental health issues
