Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, and stroke cases
• Triage patients efficiently and prioritize care in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level I Trauma Center
• Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret telemetry strips, and administer critical drips
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of ED physicians, mid-levels, charge nurses, and support staff
• Float to OBS and freestanding ER locations as needed to ensure seamless patient care
• Maintain composure and clinical excellence during life-saving interventions

Qualifications

• Active RN license or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required (NRP preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience required
• Valid driver's license required for radius verification
• Comfort with EPIC charting and telemetry interpretation
• Ability to pass an open-book clinical exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing, trauma care, and critical care
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Knowledge of common ER drips and medications
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
