Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac emergencies
• Triage patients quickly and accurately in a busy 24-bed ED seeing 80-90 patients per day
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, and support staff to create individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Interpret ECG rhythms confidently, as RNs own rhythm recognition on the unit
• Maintain accurate documentation in Paragon EMR and follow safety protocols
• Float to other units as qualified and step up to help wherever needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state) in good standing
• 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC certifications
• Strong ECG interpretation skills and comfort with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Team player with excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing and triage protocols
• ECG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Proficiency with Paragon EMR charting system
• Experience with trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac patient populations
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt quickly
