Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic care
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions as needed
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Document patient information and treatment plans using Denticon software
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified
• Valid dental assisting certification or license in Maryland
• Familiarity with Denticon software is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and equipment
• Proficiency in dental charting and record keeping
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Patient care and customer service skills
• Time management and adaptability
