Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 10-hour day shifts (possible weekend call)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures including Cardiac, HIDA, Bone, Gastric, and VQ studies
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining strict safety protocols
  • Operate Siemens and D-Spect equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Start IVs and deliver compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process
  • Work independently to manage daily workflow and prioritize studies effectively
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the Cerner EMR system and coordinate with radiology team as needed

Qualifications

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through NMTCB – required
  • ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)) or NMTCB – required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) – required
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced department
  • IV insertion experience is required

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and radiation safety practices
  • Proficiency with Siemens and D-Spect imaging equipment
  • Experience using Cerner EMR/PACS systems
  • Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform cardiac stress tests, HIDA scans, bone scans, gastric emptying studies, and VQ scans
  • Skilled in IV insertion and patient monitoring during procedures
