Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable patient experience
- Prepare patients for orthodontic treatments, including braces and Invisalign adjustments
- Take and develop dental X-rays, impressions, and digital scans with precision
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and proper care for their orthodontic appliances
- Sterilize and organize instruments, keeping the treatment area ready for every patient
- Manage patient records and charting, documenting treatment progress accurately
Qualifications
- Must be fully knowledgeable in orthodontics, including braces and Invisalign
- Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain it
- X-ray license/certification as required by Virginia state regulations
- Previous experience in a dental office, especially orthodontics, is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, patient-centered attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Orthodontic chairside procedures for braces and Invisalign
- Patient preparation and equipment sterilization
- Digital radiography and dental imaging
- Effective communication with patients and clinical team members
- Time management in a fast-paced dental environment
- Knowledge of dental software for charting and records
