Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, no set schedules, weekends and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor up to 60 patients remotely from a centralized command center using advanced cardiac technology
Accurately interpret EKG rhythms and quickly recognize dangerous arrhythmias
Alert local RN staff immediately when cardiac changes occur following established protocols
Document rhythm changes and maintain clear communication during routine and emergency situations
Contribute to improved patient outcomes and department performance metrics

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience demonstrating EKG interpretation skills
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam with lethal rhythms as pass/fail (one attempt only)
Graduation from an accredited program that includes EKG Interpretation training
Ability to work 2-3 day shifts for orientation if hired for night position
Must commit to one assignment at a time with no other concurrent jobs

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Ability to work independently in a virtual hospital setting
Excellent communication and quick decision-making under pressure
Familiarity with GE and Ascom monitoring equipment
Comfortable with strict no-cell-phone policy and using facility-provided work phone
