Location: Redding, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Flexible shifts including 8-hour (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), 10-hour, and 12-hour options with mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM; weekend and holiday coverage provided by call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during a wide variety of cases including total joints, general, vascular, spine, CVOR, ortho, neuro, ENT, and trauma
Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor and OR leadership to keep cases running smoothly
Respond to call coverage for weeknights and weekends to support the facility's surgical needs

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
Familiarity with Cerner Surginet EMR and Phillips Telemetry systems preferred
Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in call rotation
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile fields

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner Surginet documentation
Comfortable working with Phillips Telemetry monitoring
Skilled in preparing for and assisting with CVOR cases including CABG, valve procedures, pacers, and lead extractions
Knowledge of a broad range of surgical specialties from ortho and neuro to ENT and trauma
Strong sterile technique and OR workflow understanding
