Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times including 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; occasional weekend coverage required with a weekday off in exchange

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy services across acute care units including med-surg, telemetry, ICU, and oncology
Deliver hands-on care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and total joint replacements
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans
Support ventilated patients in the ICU with specialized therapy interventions
Help patients regain mobility and independence during their hospital stay
Document care using Cerner EMR and communicate progress with the care team

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in ortho, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patient care
Comfortable working with a wide variety of patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy across multiple hospital units
Experience with orthopedic and post-surgical patients
ICU and ventilator patient management
Cerner EMR documentation
Strong clinical decision-making and adaptability
