Physical Therapist - Acute Inpatient
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-07-2026
End Date: 09-06-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
- Develop personalized treatment plans for general medical, post-surgical, and neurological patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
- Document progress and adjust interventions to help patients regain independence
Qualifications
- Active California PT license
- BLS certification
- Acute Inpatient PT experience required
Knowledge & Skills
- Acute inpatient physical therapy techniques
- Post-operative joint replacement protocols
- Stroke recovery and neurological rehabilitation
- Medical-surgical patient management
