Registered Nurse - ED Holds/Tele
Location: Gilbert, Arizona

End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients awaiting placement from the emergency department
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
- Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving to med/surg/tele units
- Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
- Float to various med/surg/tele and overflow units across campuses as census requires
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of strong cardiac telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ED holds and tele patients
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Titration of cardiac medications
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to floating between units and campuses
