Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with 1-4 hour weeknight call every week and weekend call every 5 weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons across a wide range of specialties including ortho, neuro, robotics, GYN, ENT, and eyes
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each case
Support complex procedures such as total joints, craniotomies, robotic surgeries, and organ procurements
Maintain strict sterile technique and follow all safety protocols to protect patients
Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional care during every procedure

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
CST certification preferred but not required
Strong experience in ortho, neuro, and robotics procedures
Driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha and not be currently employed by CommonSpirit facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ortho ORIFs, total joints, and fracture repairs
Experienced with neuro cases including craniotomies, ACDFs, and shunts
Skilled in robotic-assisted surgeries using the Da Vinci system
Comfortable with general, GYN, GU, plastics, ENT, thoracic, and eye procedures
Able to handle pediatric cases in emergency situations
