Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and Cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to same-level-of-care units to support team needs and patient flow
Perform hourly rounding and focus on exceptional patient experience
Manage ventilators and advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipment with real-time training support

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
Valid driver's license required at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for mixed PCU and Med-Surg patients
Comfort with chemotherapy administration and oncology care pathways
Familiarity with ventilators, CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, and ICP monitoring
Ability to work collaboratively in a culturally diverse environment
Commitment to teamwork and supporting colleagues
