Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Monitor and titrate critical medications like Magnesium and Oxytocin during labor
Support postpartum recovery and educate new parents on newborn care
Collaborate with the surgical team during C-sections to ensure safe deliveries
Respond quickly and confidently to neonatal emergencies using CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment
Float to medical-surgical or emergency departments when extra hands are needed
Build meaningful connections with patients in a close-knit rural hospital setting

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and Delivery expertise
Postpartum and couplet care
Neonatal resuscitation and monitoring
Fetal monitoring with OB Trace Vue
Titration of Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other labor-related medications
Teamwork and clear communication in a small hospital setting
