Location: Silverdale, Washington

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8/10/12-hour shifts with flexible start times; includes 6-8 call shifts per month (9:00 PM - 6:30 AM) and weekend call rotation.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, ensuring a sterile field and smooth workflow
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, including robotic systems like Da Vinci XI
Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and ensure patient safety
Handle instruments and supplies with precision and adhere to infection control protocols
Participate in on-call rotations for emergency procedures, responding within 30 minutes
Support the team by floating to Main OR when needed for vascular cases

Qualifications

Active Washington state Surgical Tech license required
BLS certification required; ACLS for RNs
Experience in CVOR or cardiac surgery preferred
Robotics experience (Da Vinci XI) a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
Ability to work flexible shifts and take call
Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in sterile technique and surgical instrument handling
Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
Understanding of cardiac and thoracic procedures
Experience with robotic-assisted surgery preferred
Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
Willingness to cross-train and float to other units as needed
