Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical and cognitive abilities to develop personalized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills and independence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that fosters healing and growth

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of California
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting is preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment tools and interventions
• Skilled in developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to educate and motivate patients and their families
• Time management and organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively
