Speech Language Pathologist - Skilled Nursing
Location: Hampton, NH
Start Date: 08-31-2026
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Bill Rate: $39-$45/hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in residents
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's specific goals
- Provide direct therapy to improve communication and swallowing function
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation therapists
- Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active New Hampshire state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working with adult and geriatric populations in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of dysphagia assessment and treatment techniques
- Proficiency in cognitive-communication and language therapy
- Ability to use electronic medical records and documentation systems
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Benefits
