Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Bill Rate: $39-$45/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in residents
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's specific goals
  • Provide direct therapy to improve communication and swallowing function
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation therapists
  • Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active New Hampshire state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric populations in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of dysphagia assessment and treatment techniques
  • Proficiency in cognitive-communication and language therapy
  • Ability to use electronic medical records and documentation systems
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Benefits

  • Agency placement fee: 10% of salary (paid by facility)
