Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced 3-suite OR averaging 10-12 cases per day
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, ensuring patient safety during orthopedic, podiatry, pain management, breast, GYN, general surgery, and urology procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR techs to keep every procedure seamless and efficient
• Step into charge nurse duties when assigned, coordinating flow and supporting the team
• Participate in on-call rotation, responding within 30 minutes to surgeries scheduled after hours or on weekends

Qualifications

• Active RN license (willing to wait for license submission)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience with strong orthopedic surgical experience
• Charge nurse experience is a plus
• Scrubbing experience preferred but not required
• Comfortable using Cerner EMR

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and aseptic practices
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume OR with 10-12 cases per day
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technologists
• Flexible and adaptable, willing to float to west campus if needed
• Quick decision-making and calm under pressure in emergency and call situations
