Physical Therapist Assistant - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Rochester, NH
Start Date: 08-31-2026
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Bill Rate: $29 - $34 per hour
Benefits
- $29 - $34 per hour salary range

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and independence
- Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to their recovery goals
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver comprehensive rehabilitative care
- Create a compassionate and encouraging environment that supports healing and dignity
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Hampshire
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Current CPR certification
Education
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and rehabilitation techniques
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance documentation requirements
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation systems
- Compassion and empathy when working with older adults and patients in recovery
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
