Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating weekend shifts

Hours per Week: 40

Bill Rate: $28-$34/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence
  • Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
  • Document patient progress and adjust interventions in collaboration with the therapy team
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
  • Work closely with a dedicated rehab team in a skilled nursing facility setting to provide compassionate care
  • Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient-centered goals

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification from NBCOT
  • New Hampshire state licensure as an OTA (or ability to obtain before start)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Education

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and modalities
  • Proficiency in documentation systems and medical record keeping
  • Ability to adapt treatment activities to individual patient needs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
