Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift; specific start/end times and scheduled days not provided. RN - Telemetry; orientation required.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly respond to arrhythmias and clinical changes
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for telemetry patients
Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and discharge instructions
Participate in unit orientation, quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kentucky or eligibility to obtain prior to start
Telemetry experience or comfort working with continuous cardiac monitoring
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
IV medication administration and infusion pump familiarity
Patient assessment and documentation in the electronic medical record
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Strong situational awareness and clinical judgment
