Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate perioperative nursing care in the operating room
Prepare and maintain sterile field and instruments to support surgical teams
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff for efficient case flow
Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to changes quickly and confidently
Document care and communicate patient progress clearly at handoffs
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or compact RN licensure eligible
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications encouraged
Perioperative nursing experience preferred; CNOR certification a plus
Strong ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Clean professional record and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Operative instrumentation and sterile technique
Surgical patient assessment and monitoring
Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
Time management and case coordination in the OR setting
Familiarity with OR documentation and electronic charting systems
