Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients
• Perform thorough assessments and develop patient-centered care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status and escalate concerns to the care team in a timely manner
• Document care and communicate clearly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Support a positive patient experience through education, advocacy, and empathy

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Louisiana)
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications welcomed
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients safely and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable professional demeanor, teamwork mindset, and commitment to patient-centered care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and adult patient care
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapies
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics, and post-operative management
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
