Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate entries
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate/resolve discrepancies
• Prepare internal and external financial reports for management, regulators, and auditors
• Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting efforts
• Deliver ad-hoc financial analyses to inform decision-making across teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure clean, compliant financials

Qualifications

• College-level coursework in accounting required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred (may substitute for the 2 years of experience)
• Two years of full-scope accounting experience for a business, or equivalent
• Proven experience with general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting
• Comfortable with computers and MS applications; Excel proficiency preferred
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and good communication skills
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

Education

• College-level coursework in accounting (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• General ledger maintenance and month-end close processes
• Account reconciliations and variance analysis
• Internal and external financial reporting and regulatory reporting
• Fixed asset accounting and depreciation
• Budgeting and forecasting techniques
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and investigative skills
• Proficiency with MS applications, especially Excel
• Familiarity with audit reporting and compliance requirements
