Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations accurately
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nurses and clinical staff promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
• Document care and complete assigned charting in a timely, accurate manner
• Work collaboratively with the care team to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — valid for the state of New Mexico
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
• Comfortable providing hands-on care and supporting resident mobility
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Willingness to complete facility-required orientation, background check, and health screenings
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain if requested

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care, hygiene, and safe transfer techniques
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Good observational skills and the ability to report clinical changes clearly
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Empathy, patience, and respect when interacting with residents and families
