Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor, recognize and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond to changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and improve patient outcomes
• Perform respiratory-focused assessments and interventions for patients with pulmonary diseases
• Float to similar Med-Surg areas as needed (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, ED boarders) while maintaining high standards of care
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR to ensure continuity and safety

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years recent Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips (Day 1 competency required)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required (no Epic training provided)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and adapt to changing patient acuity

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Experience in respiratory care and managing pulmonary disease patients
• Fluency in Epic EMR documentation and workflows
• Excellent interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and act decisively in high-acuity situations
• Comfort floating to related Med-Surg specialties and learning unit-specific procedures
