Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and clinical changes
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate issues when needed
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Maine or compact RN licensure where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS or specialty certifications preferred but not required
• Comfort with per-diem scheduling and night shift assignments
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• IV therapy and safe medication administration
• Accurate electronic medical record documentation
• Triage, prioritization, and emergency response
• Infection control practices and patient safety
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork
