Start Date: 07-22-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 6-hour blocks, as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate preoperative nursing care to pediatric patients and their families
Assess patient health status, review medical histories, and prepare them for surgery
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, expectations, and postoperative care
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient flow
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation
Advocate for patient comfort and safety throughout the preoperative process

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
PALS certification preferred
Previous experience in perioperative or pediatric nursing is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of preoperative nursing procedures and protocols
Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic setting
