Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM with on-call 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM, on-call max 1-2 nights per 6 week schedule, 24 hours of weekend call in a 6 week schedule

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages
• Deliver compassionate, one-on-one attention to pediatric patients and those with special needs
• Monitor vital signs and manage ventilated patients on pressors when ICU overflow occurs
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team to ensure smooth post-operative transitions
• Float to inpatient units as a helping hand or sitter when needed, showcasing your versatility
• Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes to support the OR team during evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
• Proven ability to recover pediatric patients safely and confidently
• Comfort recovering higher-acuity ICU patients on vents and pressors
• Strong assessment skills and ability to read cardiac strips

Knowledge & Skills

• EPIC electronic medical record documentation
• Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery protocols
• Pediatric airway management and recovery techniques
• Vented patient care and pressor management
• Team collaboration and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Floating flexibility and willingness to support other units
