Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Prepare the operating room, instruments and supplies for cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia and the surgical team
• Perform time-outs and safety checks to uphold patient safety standards
• Monitor and document patient status and responses throughout the perioperative period
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention practices
• Participate in efficient room turnover and case coordination

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Arizona or eligible for Arizona licensure
• Prior Operating Room nursing experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
• Comfortable working as part of a fast-paced surgical team and adapting to OR schedules
• Able to pass facility-required background and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing practices
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, supplies and OR workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-stakes environments
• Proficiency with patient assessment and perioperative documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain calm under pressure
