Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to MedSurg/Tele Neuro patients including strokes, post-neurosurgery, and ortho trauma cases
• Titrate essential drips like heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine with confidence
• Manage busy days with multiple admissions and discharges while prioritizing patient needs
• Perform hourly rounding to ensure responsiveness and build trust with diverse patients
• Collaborate with charge nurses, aides, and tele techs in a team-focused environment
• Float to other MedSurg areas to support the bigger picture of patient care

Qualifications

• Active RN license with no hits
• 2+ years of experience, prefer travel background but open to strong local talent
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Outside 50-mile radius rule, no current employment with CommonSpirit facilities
• Clean background and able to pass open-book orientation exam with 90%

Knowledge & Skills

• MedSurg/Tele expertise with neuro patient awareness
• Telemetry strip interpretation basics since tele techs handle the rest
• EPIC charting system proficiency
• PCA pump management and drip titration
• Cultural sensitivity for diverse patients including Spanish, Karen, and Burmese speakers
