Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct, compassionate patient care to Med-Surg patients
Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions while delivering hands-on care
Administer medications and intravenous solutions with precision and care
Evaluate patient and family responses to care plans and adjust as needed
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to keep everyone informed
Support infection control policies and ensure a safe environment
Prioritize workload effectively during busy shifts and emergencies

Qualifications

Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 2 years acute care experience
Healthcare Provider BLS certification
ACLS certification preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and medication administration skills
Excellent documentation and infection control practices
Ability to stay calm and resourceful in emergencies
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Comfort working independently with limited supervision
