Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends and occasional on-call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
Manage inductions and OB triage with confidence and compassion
Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses, OB hospitalists, and neonatologists
Support postpartum patients as needed, ensuring seamless care transitions
Utilize advanced fetal monitoring and EPIC/Meditech systems to track patient progress
Maintain a calm, encouraging presence during one of life's most memorable moments

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
Active RN license in Virginia or compact state
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and C-EFM certifications required
Ability to float to postpartum unit when needed
Flexibility and teamwork are essential to thrive in this fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions and unit needs
Comfortable using Meditech and CPN electronic medical records
