Surgical Technologist - Orthopedics

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky

Start Date: 04-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with on-call rotation including one weekend per month and two weekday call shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and ENT
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and equipment are ready for surgery
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to provide optimal patient care
Operate advanced robotic systems like DaVinci XI and MAKO for precision surgeries
Participate in call coverage to support emergent and scheduled cases after hours

Qualifications

Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
BLS certification required
Experience with orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gyn, and ENT procedures
Familiarity with robotic surgery platforms like DaVinci and MAKO is a plus
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operating room environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Meditech documentation system
Adaptability to handle a high volume of cases (25-35 per day)
