Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Start Date: 07-26-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM), rotating days and weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on a general medical-surgical unit
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to protocols
Monitor patient vitals, assess changes in condition, and intervene promptly
Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (med-surg or telemetry preferred)
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
ACLS certification strongly preferred
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficient in patient care documentation and EHR systems
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
