Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift with rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized respiratory care to critically ill neonates in the NICU
Administer nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Monitor patient responses and adjust respiratory support as needed
Educate and support families on respiratory care and equipment
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with unit protocols

Qualifications

1+ year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Must have current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
Experience in NICU, PICU, or ICU preferred
Active Texas state license or compact license eligible
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care
Proficiency with ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and airway management
Ability to perform emergency procedures like intubation assistance
Knowledge of EMR systems and documentation standards
Compassionate patient and family interaction skills
