Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, every other weekend, call required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ER setting
Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency interventions
Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to changes in condition
Document all care accurately in Meditech electronic health records

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Texas (temporary licenses not accepted)
Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Experience with Meditech preferred but not required
Ability to float to other units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and procedures
Skilled in using Meditech or similar EHR systems
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in trauma and cardiac care management
