Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3 shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (NOC)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
Perform cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, and assist with vaginal deliveries
Circulate and recover cesarean sections, including spinal and general anesthesia
Administer IV starts, lab draws, and medications as ordered
Monitor fetal heart tracings using AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring standards
Collaborate with physicians, certified nurse midwives, and anesthesia providers
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications
Experience with Meditech and Centricity documentation systems
Previous travel experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation and interventions
Skilled in IV start, phlebotomy, and medication administration
Knowledge of OR circulating and PACU recovery procedures
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
