Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Continuously monitor and assess patient condition, recognizing changes quickly
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
Operate and manage advanced monitoring and life support equipment, including ventilators
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team
Document patient care thoroughly and communicate handoffs clearly
Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code situations when needed
Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact RN where applicable)
Current BLS required
ACLS preferred or required based on unit policy
Prior ICU or critical care experience preferred
Critical care certification (CCRN) is a plus
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient advocacy skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of ICU monitoring, hemodynamics, and ventilator management
Experience with electronic medical record systems and accurate documentation
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-acuity patients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
