Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to ICU patients
Assess and monitor patient condition, interpreting vital signs and diagnostics
Administer medications and manage complex IV therapies and ventilators as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and execute care plans
Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record
Respond quickly and effectively in emergencies, including ACLS protocols when needed
Support patients and families with clear communication and empathetic care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
Prior ICU or critical care experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with advanced monitoring and ventilator management
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
Medication administration and titration in critical settings
Proficient charting in electronic health record systems
Strong teamwork, communication, and prioritization skills
