Roles & Responsibilities

• Float to all critical care floors and provide expert bedside care to critically ill patients
• Support Emergency Room patients and ER holds with focused, safe nursing interventions
• Care for step-down (MTC) and PACU holds when needed, ensuring smooth transitions
• Use EPIC EMR to accurately document patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Perform advanced cardiac monitoring and intervene per ACLS/BLS protocols when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Adapt quickly to changing patient acuity and unit workflows while maintaining high-quality care

Qualifications

• ICU RN experience; comfortable floating across critical care units
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similarly sized facility (explicit requirement)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR (required)
• Experience working in ER, Step-Down (MTC), and PACU settings is a strong fit
• Ability to provide reliable coverage (minimal RTO) and maintain professional demographic/badge photo requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and clinical judgment
• Cardiac monitoring, ventilator familiarity, and acute medication administration
• Triage and emergency response skills for ER/hold situations
• Comfortable documenting and navigating EPIC EMR efficiently
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
• Flexibility and resilience to float between units as patient needs demand
