Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, rotating days including every other weekend and holiday. Schedule released 4-6 weeks in advance with options for fixed facility or Just-In-Time assignment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional emergency nursing care across multiple facilities in Zone 1
• Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
• Perform triage, administer medications, and manage critical patients with conditions like trauma, stroke, and heart attacks
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and adapt quickly to varying unit environments
• Maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications while delivering high-quality care
• Conduct point-of-care lab testing and interpret telemetry strips

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent emergency room experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Comfortable floating within a 60-mile radius zone
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Skilled in point-of-care testing and IV insertion
• Adaptability to different facility protocols and patient populations
