Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate patient care using the full nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care within your RN scope of practice
- Guide patient and family education while supporting fellow nursing staff
- Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient condition
- Communicate effectively with physicians about diagnostic results and symptoms
- Uphold EMTALA regulations and report concerns to appropriate agencies
- Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or Red Cross)
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate
- Minimum one year of acute care RN experience, ER setting preferred
- NIHSS certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Telemetry monitoring expertise
- Knowledge of EMTALA regulations
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
