Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient care
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and state regulations
Document patient care according to established standards and maintain accurate medical records
Develop and execute individualized patient plans of care tailored to each patient's unique needs
Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance initiatives
Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

Current active Illinois nursing license required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center
ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Willingness to float between ICU and Step-Down ICU units
Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong foundation in the nursing process and medication administration
Excellent patient documentation and care planning abilities
Critical thinking skills for complex patient situations
Experience with Level 1 Trauma Center protocols
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
