Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with on-call required, rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional surgical nursing care to patients throughout their perioperative journey
Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery
Maintain sterile field and assist with surgical instruments and supplies
Educate patients and families about pre- and post-operative care instructions
Document all care activities accurately and maintain detailed patient records

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois
BLS certification required
DCI/BVP certification preferred
Previous surgical nursing experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication and patient education skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records documentation
Flexibility to handle on-call rotations and schedule changes
