Occupational Therapist
Location: Waimea, Hawaii
Start Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 1-hour lunch, plus required Saturday shifts
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients to restore function and independence in daily living activities
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans under physician direction
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
- Document all services and maintain accurate treatment records
- Educate patients, families, and staff on therapy recommendations and techniques
- Provide input for activities programs and support quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure safe, efficient, and economical care while meeting regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Occupational Therapy license required
- BLS/BCLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong skills in patient evaluation, ADL assessment, and treatment planning
Knowledge & Skills
- Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
- Activities of Daily Living assessment
- Range of motion and strength evaluation
- Patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Documentation and quality improvement practices
